The repair process

Most repairs begin with a telephone call.

If your engine has stopped running, or you’ve got an oil leak on your hands, we are always ready to offer immediate advice over the phone.

When an on-site diagnosis is required, we’ll send an engineer out to you in one of our service vans.

If a repair is needed, we’ll discuss with you the most efficient way to get it done.

A lot of routine repairs, such as rethreading sump plugs or dealing with broken studs or bolts, can be carried out on-site.

Most other repairs can be completed in our large and well-equipped workshop in Bonnybridge, near Falkirk, where we also stock a wide range of parts.

If your engine or component does need to come in for repair, we can easily arrange collection and return.

Remanufacturing

As well as repairs, we specialise in the remanufacturing of diesel engines of all kinds.

Remanufacturing is the process of returning a worn or damaged engine to its original specification through the replacement of old parts, and rigorous testing.

Pitcairn Engineering belongs to the Federation of Engine Re-manufacturers. Find out more about our remanufacturing service.
